- State-owned enterprises (SOEs) emerged as the main market driver during the August 7, 2026 session, attracting substantial capital inflows. Buying momentum followed Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang’s signing of Decision No. 40/2026/QD-TTg on August 5, 2026, which established new criteria for classifying and restructuring state ownership in SOEs and state-invested entities.
- Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Investment Joint Stock Company (Ticker: HGI), a subsidiary of HAGL (HAG), finalized its IPO timeline to offer 18.8 million shares at VND 60,600 per share. The company expects to raise over VND 1.139 trillion to service debt and fund raw material purchases.
- Foreign investors recorded a net selling value of VND 105.47 billion. VHM (-5.32%), TCB (+1.71%), VPB (-0.60%), VIC (-1.74%) faced the largest net selling pressure, while DMX (+2.44%), VNM (+5.08%), CTG (+3.67%) attracted buying interest from investors.
