VN-Index recovers to close marginally higher (VN-Index +0.12%)

    • The VN-Index opened lower, extending its corrective momentum following the previous session’s decline.
    • During the morning session, the market turned volatile in the second half, with the VN-Index falling before recovering to close nearly flat. Selling pressure remained relatively limited despite weak market breadth, while FPT (+2.90%), STB (+1.69%), and MWG (+1.82%) were among the notable gainers.
    • In the afternoon session, the market extended its recovery and returned to positive territory, supported by an improvement in several large-cap stocks. VHM (+1.39%) reversed its morning loss to become a key index driver, while FPT (+2.90%) extended its gains.
    • Market breadth ended with 132 advancers, 163 decliners, and 70 unchanged stocks.
    • Market turnover decreased by 6.81% from the previous session to VND 13,566 billion. The VN-Index closed at 1,829.23 points (+0.12%).

VN30 edges higher on selective large-cap gains (VN30 +0.47%)

    • The basket recorded 13 gainers, 11 decliners and 6 unchange stock.
    • FPT (+2.90%), MWG (+1.82%), SSB (+1.69%) were the top gainers.
    • On the downside, VPL (-2.21%), GAS (-1.28%), and TCX (-1.00%) were among the notable decliners.

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

    • EVF (-0.84%) signed a USD20mn senior loan agreement with Proparco, with 50% of the facility allocated to climate-related projects and the remaining 50% to financing women-led or women-owned SMEs in Vietnam.
    • The Oil & Gas sector moved against the surge in global oil prices, trading lower despite Brent crude jumping nearly 3.4% to USD101.21/bbl, its highest closing level since May 2026.
    • Foreign investors recorded net buying of VND 365.72 billion. VIC (0.00%) and FPT (+2.90%) attracted notable foreign net buying, while VHM (+1.39%) faced notable foreign net selling.
