- The VN-Index opened strongly, with buying interest concentrated in Banking, Real estate, Retail, and Consumer stocks, briefly lifting the index by more than 14 points in early trading.
- During the morning session, gains narrowed as selling pressure gradually increased and market breadth became more balanced. The VN-Index closed the morning at 1,731.80 points, up more than 5 points, while VIC (+1.00%) remained a key contributor to the index.
- In the afternoon session, the market continued to trade positively and buying strengthened after 2:00 p.m., pushing the VN-Index back toward the 1,740-point area. However, renewed selling pressure prevented a breakout, and the index closed below its intraday high.
- Market breadth ended with 165 advancers, 137 decliners, and 64 unchanged stocks.
- Market liquidity decreased 9.8% from the previous session to VND 13.47 trillion. The VN-Index closed at 1,734.24 points (+0.44%).

- VJC (+0.24%) is establishing International Technical Services JSC with charter capital of VND 300 billion, in which Vietjet will contribute VND 285 billion for a 95% stake. The new subsidiary is intended to strengthen aircraft maintenance capabilities, improve operational self-reliance, and optimize costs while serving both domestic and international airlines.
- VHM (+0.58%) doubled its charter capital to over VND 82,100 billion after completing the issuance of more than 4.1 billion shares as a 1:1 stock dividend. In 1H2026, the company’s net profit surged nearly 380% YoY to over VND 52 trillion, mainly driven by accelerated handovers at major projects.
- Foreign investors recorded net selling of VND 615.29 billion, VIC (+1.00%) and VPB (+0.20%) faced the strongest foreign selling pressure, while MSN (+2.56%) and VNM (+1.43%) attracted notable net foreign buying interest.
