VN-Index advanced led by large-cap stocks (VN-Index +1.43%)

    • VN-Index opened nearly flat with low liquidity amid cautious trading sentiment among investors.
    • The index moved sideways during the morning session amid sharp divergence across sectors.
    • In the afternoon session, positive reception to VRE’s (+6.81%) earnings announcement triggered a rally in Vingroup-related stocks, lifting the overall market.
    • Market breadth ended with 165 advancers, 139 decliners, and 61 unchanged stocks.
    • Market liquidity declined 25.0% from the previous trading session to VND 14.4 trillion. VN-Index closed at 1,704.68 points (+1.43%).

VN30 continued its upward trend (VN30 +1.36%)

    • The basket recorded 20 advancers, 9 decliners, and 1 unchanged stock.
    • VRE (+6.81%) surged to its ceiling price, followed by a strong gain in VHM (+6.14%).
    • On the other hand, SHB (-1.75%), LPB (-1.68%), STB (-1.38%), and VPB (-1.02%) were the most notable decliners.

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

    • VRE (+6.81%) reported Q2/2026 consolidated net revenue of VND 2.374 trillion (+10.8% YoY) and net profit of VND 1.609 trillion (+30.4% YoY), driven by the expansion of its leasing business via higher mall occupancy rates, new brand acquisitions, and promotional events. In H1, the company fulfilled 58% of its full-year profit target.
    • MWG (+3.58%) Chairman registered to buy 1 million shares (worth approximately VND 65 billion) to increase his ownership stake, backed by solid business performance and attractive valuation, as the stock has corrected by around 30% from its peak.
    • Foreign investors recorded net selling of VND 79.3 billion today. VHM (+6.14%) experienced the strongest net outflow, while HPG (+3.10%) and VIC (+2.62%) recorded the most significant net inflows.
