VN-Index extended its gains (VN-Index +0.82%)

    • VN-Index opened in positive territory, extending gains from the previous session.
    • During the morning session, Real Estate led sector performance. In addition to Vingroup ecosystem, PDR (+2.54%), TAL (+6.93%), and SIP (+2.72%) stood out with gains in price, liquidity, and active buying, supported by foreign net inflows.
    • The afternoon session saw a notable increase in active buying interest compared to the morning session. Capital flows showed a clear rotation, with mid- and small-cap stocks attracting greater investor interest despite persistently low overall market liquidity.
    • Market breadth ended with 175 advancers, 140 decliners, and 53 unchanged stocks.
    • Market liquidity decreased 5.87% from the previous session to VND 18.1 trillion. The VN-Index closed at 1,777.23 points (+0.82%).

VN30 showed mixed sector performance (VN30 +0.50%)

    • The basket recorded 14 gainers, 15 decliners, and 1 unchanged stock.
    • VRE (+4.76%), STB (+3.64%), VHM (+3.31%) and HDB (+2.69%) were the top performers.
    • On the flip side, BSR (-1.96%), GAS (-1.83%), and HPG (-1.77%) led the declines.

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

    • HII (+6.99%) hit the ceiling for the fourth consecutive session after reporting record growth, with Q2 net profit surging 216% YoY to VND 192 billion, lifting first-half profit to VND 280 billion, up 331% YoY.
    • The Oil & Gas sector declined amid weaker global oil prices, with BSR (-1.96%), GAS (-1.83%), and PLX (-0.15%) closing lower.
    • Foreign investors recorded net buying of VND 904.53 billion. VIC (+2.35%), VHM (+3.31%), MBB (+1.67%), PNJ (+6.94%), FPT (-0.28%) attracted the strongest net inflows, while VNM (-1.33%) recorded the largest net outflow.
