- During the morning session, the VN-Index traded sideways amidst low liquidity and high investor caution. The Oil & Gas and Retail sectors emerged as highlights with BSR (+1.33%) and PET (+6.67%). Industrial Good & Services and Banking stocks notched slight gains, led by ACV (+0.51%) and STB (-0.52%).
- The afternoon session saw a stronger uptrend despite relatively higher liquidity, maintaining positive momentum until the close thanks to VPB (+4.07%) and VHM (+5.66%).
- Market breadth ended with 140 advancers, 179 decliners, and 49 unchanged stocks.
- Market turnover decreased by 8.41% from the previous session to VND 15,278 billion. The VN-Index closed at 1,785.11 points (+0.56%).

- NAB (+3.33%) Nam A Bank has completed increasing its charter capital to nearly VND 21,600 billion after issuing 100 million ESOP shares, in accordance with a decision by the State Bank of Vietnam.
- TRC (-0.66%) completed a 1:3 bonus share issuance, raising its charter capital fourfold from VND300bn to VND1.2tn. In 1H26, the company reported revenue of VND402bn (+12.3% YoY) and NPAT of nearly VND142bn (+34.7% YoY), partly supported by higher other income from rubber-tree liquidation and latex tapping-right transfers.
- Foreign investors recorded net selling of VND 273 billion. SBT (+0.66%) and BSR (+1.33%) attracted the strongest net foreign buying interest, while TCB (+0.91%) faced notable net foreign selling pressure.
