VN-Index remained subdued amid weak liquidity (VN-Index -0.17%)

- The VN-Index opened above the reference level but soon reversed into negative territory.
- During the morning session, the VN-Index traded largely sideways amid extremely weak liquidity. Blue-chip performance was mixed, with SSB (+1.33%), GVR (+3.42%), VIB (+1.90%), GAS (+1.68%), and VHM (+0.43%) outperforming, while LPB (-4.40%) and MCH (+0.00%) weighed on the market.
- In the afternoon session, the VN-Index remained range-bound despite a pickup in liquidity. Oil & Gas and Rubber stocks emerged as the bright spots, supported by elevated crude oil and rubber prices, with PVT (+6.40%), GVR (+3.42%), PLX (+2.39%), GAS (+1.68%), and PVD (+1.61%) posting solid gains.
- Market breadth ended with 133 advancers, 170 decliners, and 66 unchanged stocks.
- Market turnover decreased by 18.27% from the previous session to VND 12,338 billion. The VN-Index closed at 1,777.73 points (-0.17%).

- LPB (-4.40%), STB (-1.81%), VRE (-1.02%), and MBB (-1.01%) were among the decliners.
- On the other hand, GVR (+3.42%) led the gainers, followed by VIB (+1.90%), GAS (+1.68%), and SSB (+1.33%).

- The Rubber sector drew attention as global rubber prices reached a 13-year high, supported by persistent supply concerns. Prices rose to 254 US cents/kg, up 7.95% over the past month and 46.74% YoY, amid weather-related disruptions in Southeast Asia and tightening inventories in China.
- F88 moved forward with its plan to list on HOSE after completing its public offering in August. The company successfully distributed over 11mn shares at VND71,000/share, raising nearly VND 782bn and increasing its charter capital from VND 2.20tn to VND2.31tn.
- Foreign investors recorded net selling of VND 405.76 billion. VPB (+0.00%) continued to face the strongest net foreign selling pressure, while no stocks recorded notable net foreign buying.
