VN-Index extended gains (VN-Index +1.26%)

    • The VN-Index opened higher, extending gains from the previous session.
    • During the morning session, the VN-Index advanced further, primarily driven by Vingroup-related stocks, including VIC (+4.16%) and VHM (+3.56%). Oil & Gas stocks also performed strongly, led by BSR (+3.91%), PVS (+2.20%), and PVD (+5.00%). Meanwhile, the Securities sector remained mixed, with TCX (+2.93%) and VPX (+2.37%) outperforming, while SSI (-1.23%) and VCI (-1.02%) declined.
    • In the afternoon session, the VN-Index initially retreated from its morning highs before recovering, supported by continued strength in Vingroup-related stocks. However, subdued liquidity and uneven sector performance suggested that buying interest remained selective.
    • Market breadth recorded with 149 advancers, 167 decliners, and 57 unchanged stocks.
    • Market turnover decreased by 24.60% from the previous session to VND 15.29 trillion. The VN-Index closed at 1,760.63 points (+1.26%).

VN30 advanced amid mixed blue-chip performance (VN30 +0.66%)

    • The basket recorded 17 gainers, 11 decliner, and 2 unchanged stocks.
    • VIC (+4.16%), BSR (+3.91%), and VHM (+3.56%) led the gainers.
    • Conversely, LPB (-1.76%), SSB (-1.23%), and SSI (-1.23%) were the most notable decliners.

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

    • DBC (-0.62%) reported Q3/2026 net revenue of VND5.14tn (+37% YoY), while NPAT declined 42% YoY to VND 200bn, primarily reflecting lower live hog prices. Gross margin narrowed to 11.4% from 17.4% a year earlier, as cost of goods sold increased 47% YoY. Despite growth in its vegetable oil and animal feed businesses, weaker livestock profitability weighed on earnings. For 9M26, NPAT declined 36% YoY to VND863bn.
    • STB (+1.58%) introduced a VND 20tn preferential lending package for individual customers, offering interest rate reductions of 1.5–2.0 percentage points per annum. The package allocates VND 10tn to new loans for individuals and household businesses and another VND10tn to eligible existing borrowers. This follows a VND 40tn preferential lending program for corporate customers and a 0.5-percentage-point reduction in deposit rates for tenors of six months or longer, reflecting the bank’s efforts to support credit demand while potentially putting pressure on lending margins.
    • Foreign investors recorded net buying of VND 325.8 billion. VIC (+4.16%), TCB (-0.73%), VHM (+3.56%), and MSN (+0.27%) attracted notable net foreign buying interest, while FPT (+0.00%) faced net foreign selling pressure.
