VN-Index rebounds on broad-based gains (VN-Index +1.28%)

- The VN-Index opened on a positive note, gaining more than 10 points in early trading and reclaiming the 1,800-point level amid broad-based gains.
- During the morning session, the VN-Index extended its recovery, led primarily by Banking stocks. VCB (+2.56%), BID (+2.94%), CTG (+2.35%), SSB (+6.91%), LPB (+3.26%), VPB (+1.65%), and TCB (+1.10%) provided key support, while SSB hit the ceiling price. GEE (+6.93%) and GEX (+3.14%) also posted strong gains. The index closed the morning at 1,802.3 points, up around 14 points.
- In the afternoon session, buying momentum strengthened and broadened, with Energy stocks emerging as key market drivers. GAS (+6.65%) and BSR (+6.84%) led the rally, helping the VN-Index extend its gains and close near the intraday high.
- Market breadth ended with 232 advancers, 86 decliners, and 53 unchanged stocks.
- Market turnover decreased by 14.5% from the previous session to VND 16.70 trillion. The VN-Index closed at 1,811.15 points (+1.28%).

- SSB (+6.91%) and BSR (+6.84%) hit the ceiling price and were among the strongest gainers.
- On the downside, STB (-0.52%) and SAB (-0.45%), along with Vingroup stocks VIC (-0.04%), VHM (-0.42%) and VRE (-0.19%) closed lower.

- PVS (+4.91%) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, PTSC M&C, received a Letter of Award from QatarEnergy for the Maydan Mahzam Redevelopment Project, with the formal contract expected to be signed in October 2026. While the contract value has not been officially disclosed, Vietcap estimates it at approximately USD 3 billion.
- VJC (+1.22%) and Thales signed agreements to expand cooperation in aircraft maintenance, digital aviation, AI, and cybersecurity. Under the Repair-By-The-Hour agreement, Thales will provide avionics maintenance and repair services for Vietjet’s Airbus fleet.
- Foreign investors recorded net buying of VND 708.87 billion. VCB (+2.56%), BSR (+6.84%), and BID (+2.94%) attracted notable net foreign buying, while VIC (-0.04%) and VHM (-0.42%) faced net foreign selling pressure.
