- During the morning session, the Oil & Gas sector advanced following higher oil prices. Conversely, Banking, Real Estate, and Financials declined due to rising deposit interest rates at private commercial banks and slowing absorption rates in the real estate market.
- In the afternoon session, selling pressure persisted, causing the index to expand its losses. Amid widespread declines across the board, FPT (+0.15%) edged up after announcing positive revenue and profit growth.
- Market breadth ended with 45 advancers, 296 decliners, and 26 unchanged stocks.
- Market liquidity surged by 69.0% compared to the previous trading session to VND 19.6 trillion. VN-Index closed at 1,743.51 points (-2.46%).

- FPT (+0.15%) reported its 1H2026 financial results with net revenue reaching VND 26,269 billion (+12.6% YoY) and profit before tax reaching VND 5,714 billion (+18.1% YoY). During the same period, the company secured 14 projects with a scale exceeding USD 10 million each, while newly signed contracts from Global IT Services rose 32.3% YoY.
- BVB will start trading on HOSE tomorrow at a starting price of VND 13,100 per share. The bank continues to promote its strategy focusing on individual clients, micro-enterprises, and SMEs.
- Foreign investors recorded a net sold value of VND 35.8 billion. VCB (-3.08%) was the most net sold stock, whereas MWG (-1.96%) saw notable net foreign buying.
