VN-Index reverses early gains on late selling pressure (VN-Index -0.39%)

- The VN-Index opened firmly higher, with gains broadening across the market.
- During the morning session, buying momentum broadened, led by Financials, while Vingroup stocks also provided strong index support. The VN-Index closed the morning at 1,839.67 points (+0.93%), while Energy stocks moved against the broader market trend.
- In the afternoon session, earlier gains gradually narrowed before the VN-Index reversed sharply during the ATC session amid portfolio rebalancing activity. Selling pressure intensified across Banking stocks, including CTG (-3.66%), TCB (-3.16%), MBB (-3.21%), VPB (-2.66%), and ACB (-3.95%), sending the index from positive territory to close lower.
- Market breadth ended with 185 advancers, 130 decliners, and 67 unchanged stocks.
- Market turnover surged 44.2% from the previous session to VND 25.93 trillion. The VN-Index closed at 1,815.66 points (-0.39%).
