VN-Index surpassed the 1,800 mark (VN-Index +1.56%)

  • VN-Index started high above the reference mark, supported by Vin-stocks and Energy sector.
  • Selling pressures began to set in near the 1,800 level, spreading across the market and pulled the index all the way down.
  • Nevertheless, thanks to the turnaround Finance related stocks in the afternoon as well as pick up in cash flow, the market increased significantly and closed above the 1,800 mark.
  • Market breadth included 167 winners, 153 losers and 52 unchanged.
  • Liquidity edged up 5.8% to VND 27.4 trillion.

VN30 briefly touched red (VN30 +1.34%)

  • The basket recorded 23 increasing stocks, 4 decreasing stocks and 3 staying the same.
  • Multiple stocks hit ceiling prices namely GAS (+6.98%), GVR (+6.99%), VHM (+6.94%), VRE (+6.88%).
  • All decliners lost more than 1%, with notable ones being DGC (-3.82%), STB (-2.07%).

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

  • Rubber producers GVR (+6.99%), DPR (+6.67%), PHR (+2.64%) had a positive session thanks to rising global rubber prices as demand from automobiles industry rose.
  • MBB (+5.13%) estimated strong results for 2025 with VND 33,700 billion profit before tax (+17% YoY).
  • Foreign investors net sold VND 404 billion today. VIC (0.00%) and VHM (+6.94%) were the most net sold stocks. On the other hand, MBB (+5.13%) topped the net bought list by a wide margin.
