Warning of scams of securities company’s website

Recently, there have been several instances of fraud in cyberspace by promoting illegal securities trading products and services to raise capital and dispossess investors’ money via communication tools and publications.

To ensure trading safety, JSI provides details of scam method and recommendation as followed:

 

Scam Method JSI’s Recommendation
Scammers offer to raise capital by the method of signing a business cooperation contract and have the signal of activating fund management and portfolio management that are not licensed, managed, or monitored by the State Securities Commission in accordance with Securities Law. JSI recommends investors thoroughly research to ensure the offerings of business cooperation form is legal and has been licensed by the State Securities Commission before joining.
Scammers guide, and offer individuals to access scam links to execute multibank cash transfer services. After accessing those links, the appearing display will be the same as the securities trading screen of organizations, and securities companies. After transferring to the appointed bank account, investors cannot withdraw cash from the account that registered in the scam trading display and lose money. JSI only uses the following official channels to send announcements and contact customers.

JSI recommends customers DO NOT ACCESS these links, links of forums, and websites that impersonate companies’ trademarks.

 

Japan Securities Co., Ltd. recommends valued Consumers take the following security precautions to safeguard your securities trading accounts:

    • Do not share your username, login password/matrix card information with any others;
    • Do not disclose personal information/phone transactions PIN code registered with JSI to others;
    • Change online login password/matrix card information periodically;
    • Use different passwords for securities trading accounts and other personal accounts;
    • Notify JSI immediately if you discover/suspect your securities trading account has been leaked information/dispossessed…

To preserve your protection, take the following precautions right away if you notice any indications that you are being hacked, scammed, or suspect that you are being attacked by hackers:

    • Change your online transaction login password/matrix card information.
    • Send an immediate notification to JSI via official channels of communication for prompt assistance.
    • Additionally, JSI advises that Customers contact the local police department or adhere to the guidelines in the “Instructions on denouncing crimes” section of the Ministry of Public Security’s website.
